Article: A trip to the Forest

Last summer, I visited a Forest to take some photographs of the wildlife and send them to the nature magazine where I work. This particular forest is famous for its diverse ecosystem and attracts a great amount of visitor each year to meet their wildlife. The journey was considerably long, it took me around one and a half hours from the city center to the forest. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the weather conditions, sunshine, a gentle breeze, and a clear blue sky, there was no doubt that the day's weather was the most perfect I have ever since in my life. The landscape was stunning, with towering trees and colorful butterflies fluttering around me, creating a beautiful atmosphere. However, while I was working alone, which is my usual practice, I heard a sudden roar that made my heart race fast. To my amazement, I realized it was a serval, a wild cat that has been rarely spotted, let alone photographed. That was a remarkable day for my career, not only did I capture award-worthy sh...

Article: Trip to the desert of Mexico

Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by animals.   My mom used to watch wildlife documentaries, and I found it captivating to see how the animals behave in their natural environment. There are many types of biomes, each one with its respective flora and fauna, which make them so fascinating. Last summer, I had the opportunity to take a trip to see wildlife for three in the desert of northern Mexico, a place where high temperatures and water shortages can be a problem for humans but not for animals. Mainly, the scenery was breathtaking, with huge golden dune, rocky cliffs, an endless blue sky, and a variety of cacti that can survive in high temperatures were outstanding characteristics. Furthermore, I saw animals like lizards running quickly over the hot sand, snakes slithering along the ground, hawks soaring in the sky, and even a desert fox, hunting thanks to its speed and agility. Despite the intense heat was a challenge, the experience was really g...

Daniel the manatee

Imagen
Daniel the manatee  The insides beauty is most important than the exterior’s beauty. This is something that applies very well to our friend the manatee, these are the capibaras of the sea, they are everyone’s best friend, you want to know why?  First of all, is important to mention that even tho, they are extremely docile with humans, we can’t actually touch the. If we want to take care of the wildlife we need to respect it, and most of the times this includes not approaching or feed them.  We made a travel to Chetumal but more specific to Rio Lagarto, which is the house of Daniel the manatee. Daniel is a domesticated manatee that, unfortunately, is a bit smaller than the regular manatee, that means that is difficult to him to get along with other manatees. The manatee’s sanctuary is Daniel’s home in which he grew up since he was a baby, for that reason he always stay close to that place and with a little luck, maybe you find him around.  If you decide to visit Danie...

A wild life Trip African safari

A recent trip I made to the African Safari Zoo in Puebla was an unforgettable experience. At the beggining, I felt a little nervous knowing that the animals roamed freely in some areas, but that soon turned into excitement. The thought of being close to animals like lions, zebras, and giraffes without cages made me uneasy at first, but as the bus rolled through the safari, I realized that it was a perfectly safe adventure. The trip lasted around five hours, with plenty of time to observe the animals in their natural habitats. Seeing these majestic creatures up close, behaving as they would in the wild, was both fascinating and humbling. From graceful antelopes to playful monkeys, every turn of the journey revealed something new. The guides provided insightful commentary, making the experience educational as well. By the end of the trip, any lingering nerves had completely disappeared, replaced by a desire to return and explore more. It was a unique opportunity to connect with natur...

A Day at Zoo Animaya Last weekend, I visited Zoo Animaya in Merida, hoping to get closer to wildlife in a way I would never experienced before. The zoo is unique, designed more like a safari park, allowing animals to roam in spacious enclosures that closely mimic their natural habitats. The journey itself was short, just about 30 minutes from the city center. As we arrived, I was struck by the lush scenery surrounding the park, filled with tropical plants and tall trees. It felt like a little piece of nature hidden within the city. Walking through the zoo, I was amazed by the diversity of animals. From majestic lions lounging in the sun to playful monkeys swinging in the trees, every sight filled me with awe. I felt a deep appreciation for these creatures, understanding how vital it is to protect their habitats. Overall, my visit to Zoo Animaya was unforgettable. Seeing these animals up close reminded me of the importance of preserving wildlife for future generations. If you're...
