Article: A trip to the Forest

Last summer, I visited a Forest to take some photographs of the wildlife and send them to the nature magazine where I work. This particular forest is famous for its diverse ecosystem and attracts a great amount of visitor each year to meet their wildlife. The journey was considerably long, it took me around one and a half hours from the city center to the forest. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the weather conditions, sunshine, a gentle breeze, and a clear blue sky, there was no doubt that the day's weather was the most perfect I have ever since in my life. The landscape was stunning, with towering trees and colorful butterflies fluttering around me, creating a beautiful atmosphere. However, while I was working alone, which is my usual practice, I heard a sudden roar that made my heart race fast. To my amazement, I realized it was a serval, a wild cat that has been rarely spotted, let alone photographed. That was a remarkable day for my career, not only did I capture award-worthy sh...

Article: Trip to the desert of Mexico

Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by animals.   My mom used to watch wildlife documentaries, and I found it captivating to see how the animals behave in their natural environment. There are many types of biomes, each one with its respective flora and fauna, which make them so fascinating. Last summer, I had the opportunity to take a trip to see wildlife for three in the desert of northern Mexico, a place where high temperatures and water shortages can be a problem for humans but not for animals. Furthermore, I saw animals like lizards running quickly over the hot sand, snakes slithering along the ground, hawks soaring in the sky, and even a desert fox, hunting thanks to its speed and agility. Despite the intense heat was a challenge, the experience was really g...

Daniel the manatee

Imagen
Daniel the manatee  The insides beauty is most important than the exterior’s beauty. This is something that applies very well to our friend the manatee, these are the capibaras of the sea, they are everyone’s best friend, you want to know why?  First of all, is important to mention that even tho, they are extremely docile with humans, we can’t actually touch the. If we want to take care of the wildlife we need to respect it, and most of the times this includes not approaching or feed them.  We made a travel to Chetumal but more specific to Rio Lagarto, which is the house of Daniel the manatee. Daniel is a domesticated manatee that, unfortunately, is a bit smaller than the regular manatee, that means that is difficult to him to get along with other manatees. The manatee’s sanctuary is Daniel’s home in which he grew up since he was a baby, for that reason he always stay close to that place and with a little luck, maybe you find him around.  If you decide to visit Danie...
